ATC No. 687 Flower Large

This ATC I got a bit fiddly in the center and then the footage was too out of focus to use. The out of focus bit was a bummer. It is what it is and I am posting what I have :)

ATC No. 687 Flower Large

This ATC I drew with a dip pen (Hunt Extra Fine Bow Point, 512), brush (Grumbacher, 178, #1) and ink (Waterman, Intense Black). The first part of my footage was so out of focus I had to dump it. The trouble with doing these without sketching first and doing these in pen, is that if I make a mistake filming, I can’t really start over. It won’t even turn out the same.

Original footage is about 1 1/4 hours. However, the first part was so out of focus I had to scrap it. What was left I reduced to two minutes and thirty seconds on YouTube, @ArtsyTheta.

I did not sketch this ATC before beginning. My conscious usually has a plan to start with, but often my subconscious takes the drawing in a different direction…
