Hello,
Today I was making some more postcards for my dad and I thought I would share my process with you. I have been sending these postcards to my dad for 4-5 months. I started in December 2020 sending him local commercial postcards, one a day, however I soon ran out and started making my own.
When I first started sending him postcards, he thought it was strange, but after a while he began looking forward getting his postcards. Sometimes they arrive singly and sometimes in a group of 2-4.
I miss visiting him, and these postcards brighten both of our days.
In this video I show you how I make postcards from the pictures I have taken in my yard, on walks, at the beach, and on hikes.
To make the postcards, I print my photographs on photo paper at 4x6 inches and the backs on cardstock. The backs are three to a page of 8.5x11 inch (or A4) paper. I cut the backs out either with my paper trimmer or my craft knife. Then I glue the two back-to-back and round the corners. Once they are dry, they are ready to go.
I keep tweaking my camera setup. Hopefully this view is better. Let me know in the comments.
Have a great day!
Theta
